Cut at around 18mm thick

Our Blade beef is imported from the US, trimmed, portioned and safely vacuum wrapped by us locally, delivered frozen; Able to be stored in the freezer for up to 4 months.

* One Method for Cooking Instructions.

  • Thaw portion to be used overnight in refrigerator
  • Start heating fry pan on high
  • Rub approximately half a teaspoon of cooking oil over the surface of one side of the steak
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper onto the surface and rub in evenly
  • Turn steak over and repeat on other side
  • Pan should be almost smoking hot
  • Place steak into pan. For medium rare, cook for 2-3 minutes, giving a good sear on one side
  • Turn over (for extra flavour, add a cube of butter and a squashed clove of fresh garlic, rubbing over the cooked side of the steak, and then into the pan alongside the steak.)
  • Cook for additional 2-3 minutes, until steak starts to firm up when pressed with tongs
  • Remove and rest for a few minutes before eating.
  • (Vary cooking time depending on heat of pan, thickness of steak and desired doneness)
  • (On plate, cut thin slices across the grain for better eating)
